Big spenders are back:
Think of Stock! Think of stock photo agencies! Superstock (recently sold to the A21Group), Nonstock (recently sold to PictureArts) and guess who´s next? With at least one of the two big players (1; 2; 3) out on the streets hunting for new acquisition targets in the stock photo business, rumors has it that not only one big company, but also the other big company and furthermore at least another newcomer are looking to buy a sweet nice agency located in - no, not in SC.
[Comment 5/19/2004: we talked to our lawyers and he recommended not to mention any name of any company - so we erased the names of the companies and the location]
P2P software for stock photo agencies:
What seems to be impossible in a B2B driven market may become true one day. Rumors has it that a new company is developing P2P software for stock photo agencies. Just remember companies like iStockPhoto ("see istockphoto.com: Bringing the price down to a level where everybody can afford to buy a stock photo"), Free Images or Stock.XCHNG (called "The East European Attack"), companies with a - how to say - slightly altered business model. More to come soon.
