Regarding a recent and ongoing discussion at the Stockphoto Yahoo Emailgroup about Stock Photo Finder, Digital Railroad and other companies, some readers mailed and asked why Creators Cycle, Stockmedia.net and Stock Photo Finder all seem to share the same address in New York:
1123 Broadway, Suite 1006
New York, NY 10010
Three brands and one address? Same people, same technology? Someone (perhaps Randy Taylor) out there to set us straight? Clarifying this subject might help some readers who are in two minds how to act.

On 2/20/05, Andy asked why these companies have the same address. Happy to answer. (Sorry for the 3 months delay. I rarely read the forums. Best to point things out to me directly if a question is posed.)
20+ years as a staff photographer for AP, Sygma and others led me to seek other ways to market images and to empower photographers.
StockMedia.net launched in 2000 as a "portal", simultaneously offering the first global stock photo licensing and rights control software available to agencies and photographers. This company primarily provides "back shop" support services, including to Creative Eye/Mira.com and others.
Last year, I posted CreatorsCircle.org. This is a "think tank" open proposal to the industry that basically suggests a business model in which all costs are divided amongst participants in exchange for creators receiving 100% of sales. Though the idea offered the highest return on investment available to photographers, there was, frankly, little interest in it. So, it never launched.
Along the way, it became increasingly clear that marketing is everything. So, we partnered with some great minds in the industry and provided the technology for StockPhotoFinder.com, Inc.. This new corporation is taking off like a rocket. In essence, it is a completely level playing field for aggregated marketing in which the image provider receives 100% of the sale. The site adds 40,000 images weekly. It had 300,000 visitors in the first 6 months. The largest single sale reported by a participant to date was for 47 images. Expansion of the service is in the works.
You'll also see this address associated with www.KeywordCompiler.com. There, you'll find our keywording software, a probono gift to individual creators. (Note: A huge upgrade is due by summer ‘05.) We also provide keywording services for $1.00/image.
And, there is StockAgencies.com, a listing of many of the stock photo agencies worldwide. Another free resource.
Questions are always welcome. Thanks for asking.

I noticed reference to keywording services so I feel compelled to mention an alternative source: OnAsia Digital.
OnAsia has proprietary software and offers competitive prices. They are approved BAPLA, PACA and ALAMY keyword providers. To read more visit www.onasiadigital.com
